Teen Therapy with Family Support

IN ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN

Are you a parent worried about your teen? Watching them pull away, shut down, struggle with anxiety, friendships, identity, or the pressure to perform? You may feel unsure how to help without making things worse, and worry that your relationship is slipping away.

Or maybe you're a teen trying to navigate relationships, family expectations, or the challenge of figuring out who you are becoming. You may feel stuck, misunderstood, and unsure of what comes next.

You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. I provide therapy for teens and support for the people who love them. Together, we'll create space for understanding, growth, and the conversations that matter most.

Wouldn’t it be nice if life came with a handbook?

Since it doesn’t, we’ll work to untangle what’s going on, make sense of the mess, and figure out what comes next.

Do any of these thoughts sound familiar?

  • Why won't they talk or text me anymore?

  • Am I helping or making things worse?

  • I’m walking around on eggshells in my own home!

  • Why do I feel like everyone else got the handbook except me?

  • Why doesn’t anyone understand me?

  • Why is everyone worried about me?

  • Can my parents stop telling me what to think and do?

  • Is there something wrong with me?

  • Why can't I put my phone down?

  • Why does it feel like I'm living between two worlds?

A little about me:

Ashima Saigal, LMSW

I really like working with teenagers.

I know it's not something most people say, but I think teens are some of the most interesting people on the planet. They ask big questions, challenge everything, notice things others miss, and try to make sense of this messy, confusing, unfair, beautiful world.

I have never been one to “fit in,” and I guess that’s why my interest lies in helping people discover who they are.

I remember what it felt like to navigate challenges without the support of a trusted person. Maybe that's why I enjoy this work so much.

So bring your strong opinions, random thoughts, questions, hopes, dreams, and the parts of yourself you're still figuring out. All parts are welcome here.

Things I hear all the time…

These are things I hear frequently from teens and the people who love them.

I can help

You don’t need everything figured out before reaching out. Tell me a little bit about what’s happening, and we can begin by considering what support might be helpful.
